Matthew Rossiter & Timothy Lemen obtained a jury verdict of $413,636.40 in St. Louis County. The five-day trial involved transfers made to a second spouse while the man was suffering from memory loss and the effects of dementia. There were no offers to settle.
Zachary Pancoast settles a medical malpractice Federal Tort Claims Act case against the Veteran’s Administration in St. Louis for $800,000.00.
Timothy Lemen and Matthew Rossiter successfully handled an appeal in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District. The Appellate court upheld a jury’s verdict from the Circuit Court of Lincoln County that set aside three trust amendments. Matthew Rossiter originally tried the case in 2013. On July 16 & 17, 2015, Matthew Rossiter & Timothy Lemen attended a seminar entitled “Representing Estate and Trust Beneficiaries and Fiduciaries,” sponsored by the American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education, in Boston, Massachusetts.
July, 2015 – Jamie Boock settles motor vehicle claim in St. Charles County for $375,000.00. In this case Mr. Boock’s client suffered injury to her knee requiring an allograft procedure. Mr. Boock was able to obtain the defendant driver’s policy limits of $100,000.00 and then an additional $275,000.00 from his client’s underinsured motorist coverage despite the plaintiff making a good recovery from the procedure.
Jamie Boock is appointed to the Board of Governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
April, 2015 – Jamie Boock settles motor vehicle claim in St. Charles County for the defendant’s policy limits of $1,275,000.00. In this case Mr. Boock was able to settle this matter pre-suit in a conservative venue for the defendant’s policy limits which included an umbrella policy issued to the defendant’s parents.
On February 18, 2015, Matthew Rossiter moderated the Tenth Annual Fiduciary Litigation Seminar, and also presented The Annual Update on the Law.
